Yasuo has counterplay.
He's melee with no burst damage until he's fed.
His only forms of self-defense are Windwall and his passive shield. Windwall has a long af cooldown and can easily be baited, and it only covers one side of him in one spot. Force him to move or attack from a different angle, and it's useless. His passive shield tells you when it's available, and can be popped with an auto attack before his engage.
His mobility isn't unlimited. He needs minions to target, and can only target one every few seconds. If he dashes all the way up the lane to you, he can't dash back out.
His ult requires him to land a telegraphed skillshot.
He must push the wave to charge his Q and use his mobility. If you do nothing to the wave, it will push to you, making him easy to gank or chase down when he overextends.
Everything he does is interactive with you, the player. Yasuo's kit gives you every opportunity to see what he has available and avoid what he's going to do to you.
