Ok all I really want to know is, is there a way to tell if 
has his shield or not? When I lane against him it would be nice to know if harassing him will be pointless or not. Its not on a timer like malphs or something so do you just have to hope?

Dreadlocks1 votesyeah when its full and WHITE, if its not full its GREY. Only if it is WHITE will it block damage.

Fieryfury31 votesHis shield comes up when you attack him. It doesn't show an added amount on the health bar until you hit him and proc the shield. As stated previously, if the bar below his health is white his shield is up. If it is grey his shield is not up.
