So this 'Low Priority Queue'

Let me begin by saying that I wasn't fully sure where this fit... It's not gameplay but it doesn't feel like player behaviour either. Shrug Maybe it does lean a bit more towards player behaviour, it's too late to fix that now though.

Anyway... Let's get this out the way first... This isn't a lower priority Queue at all, it's 20 minutes of waiting before you BEGIN to Queue. A lower priority queue would entail being put into games last. This is not what the system does. Who on earth came up with the idea of calling this a Queue?

20 minutes. Five times. That's... Rito, that's an hour and 40 minutes! Okay, this is the maximum punishment, I get that. The thing is, I had a period when my laptop went a bit mad and there were some graphics card issues which would be fine one day and dodgy the next, and another time when my internet providers tried scamming me into buying a new cable despite the fact the old one was fine (I've swapped providers since) so I have... 'a few' left games. I know other people that have had similar happen to them. We get that you can't tell the difference between a disconnect and closing the tab, that's not what we are (or at least myself is) really asking for! Of course, I'm not denying that I've just completely forgotten about games and tabbed out to look at something else without realising I'd gone AFK, I'm awful person, sue me.

We want the punishment to be... A tad less harsh, I suppose, or to actually do what it says on the tin, putting players who leave at the back of the queue rather than blocking them from the queue for a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes... People have lives and that 1 hour and 40 minutes isn't including the time it takes to play the game itself.

This is a punishment, we get that it's not supposed to be nice, or easy. It shouldn't be this horrific though. I'll be honest, I've been afk in games I've queue'd for because I've just forgotten about them... I've gone into champ select and then tabbed back onto what I was doing to pass the time. Awful, I know, but I just use the 'queue' time to do things that need doing.

This is a bit disorganised and I've not been extremely clear... _** Lesser punishments, actual lower priority queue or something similar to HotS, in which you queue with other leavers, would be amazing. I'd rather my whole team go afk for 5 games and remaking than have to sit through that queue ever again.

Tabbing out during queue or when you are last pick in champ select

Oh yea we all do that x'D

But that is because

A: It takes a while and people get bored waiting B: Auto fill causing people to dodge left and right, this increases the overall waiting time which leads back to point A

And then you get punished by having to wait hours

This is what lower priority queue should look like:

Lower priority queue should put you into a queue with the rest of the, afk's & leavers, and rude people who got punished This will probably have a longer queue time anyway and put all the ''bad ones'' together so they can annoy one another and learn from their mistakes Leaving/dodging/further punishment should just add 2 more to the queue counter Essentially forcing you to behave or be stuck in this lower priority queue until you do behave.

I remeber the days where I'd get 14 days ban on my account for going afk. I appreciate the new version of punishment. And it's not like you don't know about the 20 minutes. When i have low priority queue im gonna queue up and then go eat dinner in the meantime. Riot gave an official statement, that they won't invent a queue where you get matched with other leavers, because it would brandmark the leavers and give them an even worse experience of playing the game. This statement seems reasonable. Especially if this low priority queue would lead to more afks beeing in my teamm in ranked games, I'd totally freak out.
