Support rework
Get rid of all ap/ ad/ health scaling on abilities and give them better scaling base damage/ utility.
Add onto current support items an xp catching up system, like 'inspire' from the old masteries, so you remain closer in level to your teammates, as being 2 levels behind because you've warded properly sucks.
This may sound crazy at first but: pros: This would allow support champions to scale really well into late game, whilst also not encouraging them to take farm or kills, making support far more satisfying to play, not only for current support player but especially for people who play other roles and only care about personal power.
Also it would stop full ap, no sightstone annie or lux 'supports' as they would just be less effective than the champions may for that position as their farm dependency would cause them to out scaled, reducing toxicity.
These new support wouldn't have their high utility abused by going into other lanes/ jungle as the gold they earn can only really effectively be put into support/ tanky items (may have to be reviewed as they could become a substitute for top lane tanks which would be bad).
Tanky supports can actually be tanky, as being higher level and only buying tank/utility items means that 'tank' supports no longer get one-shot
Makes supports, whilst still being team players, more able to carry.
Cons: Will destroy current off-meta builds for supports such as AP Janna mid.
Overall: I honestly think a change like this could make the support role as popular as other roles and overall more satisfying to play, these are just rough ideas , I'll leave the balancing to Rito if they ever considered this, but yeah, just a thought.
P.S.: I am a support main so I personally don't think support is boring but I know most people do, and don't play it in ranked because it is 'impossible to carry' [slayer-jinx-wink]
