Sightstone changes

I actually enjoy this change Riot. It feels nice to have sightstone early and free. I never found the other actives to be as useful feeling.

Anyone else agree?

I lived and died from skilful use of frostfang's reward procs, now I simply die. Tanks have lost a regenerating shield of around 300. Utility supports have lost a free movement boost to everyone around them. My build path used to focus around intelligent use of item slots, now it doesn't matter. I used to have a counter to stealth champions in frostqueens. I used to be able to give engage from talisman or save people with face of the mountain. Now I can place wards, which I could do anyway, and buy a cheap item which is never as valuable as what I used to have, So quite simply no. I have lost a lot of utility, most of my counter play opportunities, and almost every meaningful descision, because they decided taking away variety from the support pool was the best was "to give supports more autonomy".

Enjoy your 800 gold and try not to think about what you've lost.

it´s like they are actively trying to prevent supports from making any meaningful decisions. Just take your support item, get a sightstone for free and start stacking whatever stat your champ needs. that is how it sounds like. congratulations your itemisation is now just as bland and boring as everyone else's, except you, have less gold than everyone else, so gl and have fun with that. What riot doesn´t get is that supports are in dire need of a niche or atleast something that sets them apart from the other roles for a long time, because to this date you are just that underfed guy that has to make the best out of what he got and just tries to be more helpful than the other underfed guy in the enemy team. And riot´s changes just reinforce this mentality that you are not specializing in anything as a support and just playing a light-version of your champ with 3 additional wards. yeah!

It's not as bad as I feared, it starts stacking from tier 1 gold item so I can actually buy it whenever. I can't buy it earlier, but that doesn't impact many games and we thankfully have reds to fill the gap.

I do miss FOTM and talisman. And my old early-kindlegem buildpath for my CDR tanks. Talisman really needs to come back as it was a way to deal with the new predator runes.

I'm really not feeling 'freed' up. I can see the extra gold but there are fewer items to choose from now.
