Patches Unbalancing the game

Riot's patches have recently completely unbalanced the game. A series of nerfs to unneeded characters and buffs to others as well as a community whos toxicity spreads like a virus. I have several accounts and have been playing since the beta and have watched the game evolve from the beginning, and recently the game has broken in a few directions. Here is what I'm seeing from Riots recent few "patch".

**Tanks have lost viability to the game, its a game of carries, and if you dont pick the few left in meta, even carries have become useless.

****The items have not become more diverse, but less diverse, and builds have become MORE standardized with maybe 3 flexibility items at most based off your opponents choices. ** Items that weaken tanks in particular just to point out my argument before -Leviathan (Tanks stacks item) - removed -Force of nature - removed -Atma's Impaler -removed -Runic Bulwark -removed -Warmogs - nerfed Not to mention that ad items and ap items have recieved buffs in this time as have adc in general

As well Executions Calling was never replaced (the unique) for AD champs, which forces ignite picks top lane instead of TP in certain matchups.

**Unneeded, and uncalled for champion nerfs that were never rectified. To start with the most recent. Veigar. A viable champ who was completely gutted and ruined. Wasn't overplayed. Wasn't the one they complain about in the forums (Zed). Wasn't even played in LCS. But yet he was destroyed. The delay to his stun, the biggest nerf. made his defensive play against ganks useless (I've seen udyr run through the first wall and back out the back wall before his stun appeared). It also gutted his damage to his w, a nearly unlandable nuke with the drop time that gives me time to taunt before i flash... yes, ive done in, you can even taunt and then walk out of the way of it once you have upgraded boots with most champs. The trade off? nothing. Supposedly his q.. which nearly never gets multiple stacks, and is useless when trying to target in a team fight past a the bruisers in the front who already avoided your delayed stun. to make it better, all that fantastic "we're giving you extra AP!!" again useless. because you cant target carries anymore, and your ult which does, took such a significant nerf to its damage ratio, that there in fact is no "extra stacks" for it. In fact mid game when Veigar needs kills to really get those stacks it actually does less damage than before. If the current "fixes" are where Veigar is being left, I guess like Eve, Urgot, Olaf, Zac and others, Veigar will have an entire season or more of unplayability while riot changes balanced champs and leaves the unbalanced champs alone.

**Failure to nerf. Most recently Zed, left in a broken place nearly endlessly. At this point I suppose very very slightly reducing his base attack speed is what riot considers a nerf for him? Which Zed players laughed at. A champion, who can farm no risk. Tower dive, no risk. Go in with no hp, no risk. And is blessed with range, damage, mobility, easy farming, and best of all, no counter for most mid lanes. The only real counter to his ult is to force mana dependent champions with no gold from being bullied off farm to buy armgaurd first. Meaning they can either farm with their mana, or have it to be able to even scratch Zed (who will of course build lifesteal). Meanwhile AD mid lanes are forced to build magic resist against an ad champion if they dont wish to get stomped on in lane. Remind me where the nerf was? and where Zed is taking any risks in a well played mid lane?

**Toxic attitude spreads. The number of times I've seen a friend get trolled or been trolled myself or raged at and been reported then seen the report lead to bans is incredible. And I'm not talking about being toxic in return to them. Merely, them reporting you for reporting them.

All of this being said, I am a huge fan of Riot as well as League of Legends. And I think the special game modes that have been released from time to time were an amazing addition to the game. New champions (although severely under-balanced before release) have been original and mechanically fun. And I know that the game designers are doing their best to attempt to balance the game.

Its tough to say some of this stuff is really true. And I think a lot more goes on begin the scenes that we don't see. That said, I do agree that Riot does have a problem with leaving champions in the dumpster for way to long and struggles to really communicate sometimes. But Veigar actually did need a rework. He was pick or ban in Asia because of his stun alone. It was a 2.5 second AoE stun. It was too good and prevented him from receiving any other buffs. So it needed change. The problem was, it needed change not a delay. Riot was very lazy with this. I'm also not very happy about the Q's reliability being nerfed, but would be okay of they buffed it in other ways. Instead they nerfed its cool down at later ranks. Yeah... And the R Nerf was just plain uncalled for. It was a reduction in the damage that he already lost. Not to mention that by merging the cool down on his Q, he needed to be killing two minions every time in order to keep just ahead of the old Q. He was not getting more stacks, it was just a Nerf. That said, Riot still has the chance to fix him. I'm hoping they lower mama costs and cool down on Q (at rank 5. Not the early ranks. No one needs those lowered). I also hope they make his W be a able to stand alone by itself. They also need to make there be some reason it is good to trap someone inside the cage, because right now, you just die if they are in the center. I think a damage buff for veigar and a damage reduction when the opponent attacks veigar would be great. And then bring his R back to its old ratio. I know they will not bring his E back to its former glory, but if they make his other abilities good, then he will at least be viable again.

Hard to make this argument right now. After all, we're currently playing League of Sejuani, and there are more Cinderhulk-equipped tanks right behind her.

Not to mention that ad items and ap items have recieved buffs in this time as have adc in general

ADCs actually do much less damage than they did in season 2.

Exe's was a bad buy in 100% of situations.

To start with the most recent. Veigar. A viable champ who was completely gutted and ruined. Wasn't overplayed. Wasn't the one they complain about in the forums (Zed). Wasn't even played in LCS. But yet he was destroyed.

Immediately prior to his E nerf, support Veigar was permaban in Korea. LCS players just hadn't caught on yet.

If the current "fixes" are where Veigar is being left, I guess like Eve, Urgot, Olaf, Zac and others, Veigar will have an entire season or more of unplayability while riot changes balanced champs and leaves the unbalanced champs alone.

There were Veigar buffs in 5.5 and more buffs are slated for 5.6. Certainly I agree his state in 5.4, and even in 5.5, is stupidly weak.

Most recently Zed, left in a broken place nearly endlessly.

Zed sucks in solo queue. A losing champion in every elo.

In competitive play, he's in the meta but he's hardly breaking it. 18.6% contest rate in NA LCS, 55% in EU LCS, 6% in KR LCK, and 15.5% in CN LPL.

The number of times I've seen a friend get trolled or been trolled myself or raged at and been reported then seen the report lead to bans is incredible. And I'm not talking about being toxic in return to them. Merely, them reporting you for reporting them.

League currently has fewer reports, leading to fewer bans, than ever before. Instances of racist, sexist, homophobic, etc language use have dropped through the floor.

Don't tell people you're reporting them. Serves no purpose. Just pisses them off more.
