Irelia Rework concept
Hello my fellow Summoners! My idea for a possibly upcoming Irelia rework, as always the numbers are subject to change:
Irelia
Transcendent Blades (Passive) Range: 650 Irelia has a maximum of 5 transcendent blades that surround her refreshing every 2 seconds. Every 3 basic attacks cause a Transcendent blade to fly towards her target, dealing 15 true damage to enemy units it passes through and healing her for 10+(0.05 Bonus Health) Health.
Transcendent blades will kind of work like Cho'gaths E, Vorpal Spikes. I thought it was a great way to incorporate the telekinetic blades theme and also encourages building Attack speed and Health. My Reasoning for a having stacks of transcendent blades was to have windows of opportunity for opponents to punish Irelia for all in trades when she doesn't have any more stack or she force pushes a lane.
Bladesurge (Q) Range: 650 Cooldown: 14/12/10/8/6 Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Mana
Active: Irelia dashes forward to strike her target, dealing 15/40/70/100/140+(100% Attack Damage) physical damage, applies on hit effects and marks the target.
If Bladesurge kill the target, Bladesurge's cooldown is refreshed and Irelia is refunded 1 transcendent blades.
Just like her old Q however a bit more punishment/reward because it allows Irelia to quickly recover stacks of transcendent blades for another all in trade however if she fails a Q reset she has can be easily punished.
Hiten Style (W) Range: Self Cooldown: 10 Cost: 40 Mana
Passive: Irelia's transcendent blades deal an additional 5/15/35/50/65 true damage.
Active: For the next 6 seconds, Irelia sends forth a transcendent blade towards a marked target during each basic attack.
Having transcendent blades target marked units creates interesting plays where she can duel two people at once and also ties in with telekinetic blade theme/ being stronger when the odds are stacked against her.
Equilibrium Strike (E) Range: 325 Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Mana
Active: Irelia pierces her target, dealing 60/100/130/160/190 (+60% Bonus Attack Damage) physical damage and slowing the target's movementspeed by 60/65/70/75/80% decaying over 1.5 seconds. Irelia gains a shield for 20/40/60/80/100+(25% Missing Health) for 2.5 seconds.
I tried to incorporate the theme of Irelia being stronger when the 'odds are stacked in her favor' but in a more healthy way. Having the majority of the shield scale off of percent missing Health creates more important decision making where she is forced to decide if she needs the slow now or can wait for a more meaningful shield to turn the trade around.
Ionian Fervor Range:650 Cooldown: 75/60/45 Cost: 75 Mana
Active: Irelia surges with zeal, pulsating every second for 6 seconds. Initial pulse increases her atttack speed by 10/15/20% for 6 seconds for every enemy champion hit. Following pulses restore 1 transcendent blade for every champion hit.
_Irelia thrives in the middle of teamfights so her ultimate should easily reflect the ability to do that. Irelia never really had a real ultimate and only used her old ultimate for free sheen procs. So i reinforced this idea and shifted more power into her basic abilities and passive. The ability works like a Rammus ultimate creating a shock wave around her. _ Feel free to comment any thoughts or suggestions!
