Why does Riot implement mana on champions that arent supposed to?
why do these champs (and others) have mana? it just seems so out-of-place, wtf rito balance team? remove mana and add other restrictions

It's called so they don't have endless harass and free healing.
I agree and disagree. Would be cool if they did change it up from mana. But to say they shouldn't use mana since they aren't magical isn't right because what amazing feats they do do is very magical.

What do you want? implement mana restrictions because you fail to correctly balance the identity of a champ? or remove mana restrictions and correclty nerf/move around numbers?
Mana is the most balanced resource in the game and Riot have stated they are taking a LONG break on mana-less champions because they seem to find it way more easier to balance ones with mana which makes sense. Rek'Sai was their last mana-less champion they've made. They'll probably be another in the future but Riot feels comfortable with Mana as a main resource again.

I've always wondered this myself.....but its purely an aesthetics thing. It's far more important to balance the gameplay over trying to achieve more realism.
There's no point in changing a champions energy source (mana, energy, flow) just for aesthetic when they're already balanced with mana. I'd rather these champions use mana and be balanced than use something else and get nerfed into the ground.
Rename it stamina and change no numbers. It doesn't really matter and nothing to be griefing the riot balance team over.
ayy lmao
Because Mana is the generic, basic energy requirement when you want a champion's abilities to be gated early game but have itemization to remove those gates for mid and late game. All of those champions need some form of gating early game to not be broken (Alistar using Malphite ult's every 18 seconds? Pantheon letting you taste the enjoyment of point and click Q's constantly?) but less or no gating lategame (you don't run oom lategame unless you just did 2+ back to back teamfights or very long sieges). Mana works without making an entire new, redudant source of items that fulfill the same removal of mana gating but on a differently named resource. There's no real reason to remove mana as a system from those champions because it's the best resource gate for them and making or balancing them around an entirely new resource is a waste of time and effort.
