If these gangplank nerfs go through....

I've been playing league since about right after the Bilgewater event and I've fallen in love with Gp, but since he cant go more than a few patches without being nerfed, and you refuse to just stop and spend a patch refocusing the champion into the late game hyper carry he was meant to be, I can't bring myself to continue playing. His current early game is too strong. Absolutely. But he falls off after 40 or so minutes while kas vayne viegar and nasus don't. (especially viegar and nasus because those are the champs he is most like). I want a ganplank that utterly sucks early game but is a marvel late game. It seems I won't get that for awhile, so until a new champ is released that I like or gangplank gets a minor rework to refocus him I'm done. Im sorry, I love this game and the community but to see my main nerfed every few patches for the entire time I've played Lol is just too frustrating.

I don't mean to be rude, but Gangplank is completely broken. I don't know what its like in lower elos but in my Ranked games he is a nightmare. He is almost impossible to shut down if the player is good at him, and he is a nightmare late game. He scales way too hard for how strong he is early game, and he has incredible global presence throughout the game with his Ult. He gets the best of both worlds with his ranged Q which crits and procs melee Pickpocket/Grasp which is absurd. Not to mention his barrel is like the most overloaded thing ever.

His barrel:

Crits
Aoe damage/waveclear
Ignores a big portion of armor
Gives him a big speed boost
Aoe HUGE slow
Resets his passive
Makes his Q give bonus gold/serpents in Aoe

Like what the hell? Then he gets his W which removes ALL CC, and massively heals him especially if he is low on HP.

He deserves nerfs tbh. And the nerfs he is getting isn't enough, he should get more than that.

If you don't want to have your main nerfed every patch, try playing someone who isn't completely broken even after being nerfed repeatedly. Play someone balanced. Gangplank deserves nothing but more nerfs at the moment.

In low elo's vayne, kas, cass, nasus, viegar, khazix, kat, all start beating the crap out of him after 40 min. he just becomes useless because he is even more of a target then the adc. so he get shut down constantly.

well that sucks that low elo GPs can't position when he has some of the most threatening zoning in the game right now. that's a player problem, not a champion problem.

and if you consistently get caught out when your barrel slows everyone hit for 80% (not to mention almost kills them), gives you a 100+ movement speed boost, your ult slows anyone engaging on you, and your W cleanses all CC and heals you for a massive portion of your health, you need to reevaluate what you are doing.

I'm sorry, I don't understand how he falls off? The longer the game goes, the more easily he chunks huge portions of your health with barrels, then finishes you off with his ulti. Or vice versa. Also, his ulti is amazing for the entire game, and only gets better with upgrades.

What? He can literally 2 shot people at that point in the game with 3 damage items if he lands barrels. He's not even remotely weak in the late game, and his mid game is strong. His early game/laning can be punished by champs like Renekton that have high burst and mobility, but other than that he's pretty safe. If anything, it's the early game where he's weak.

If he's actually winning lane, it's usually because his lane opponent was bad, or his jungler was ganking for him.

Actually I think the best way to balance Gp is to nerf his early game but give him another ult upgrade affects his barrels. Like 1000 silver serpents allow him to hold an extra barrel. (so you have to give up 2 ult upgrades and some early game ult pressure). or after he has bought everything else he get 1 ad for every 10 silver serpents he has
