-20% of your elo are smurf accounts boosting/streaming themselves slaughtering people/feeding to derank those same accounts -30% are highly skilled but have poor interpersonal skills which creates more situations where their teams grief them out of spite for their attitudes. -30% are worse skilled than the elo you are playing in, but are generally nice people who don't feed, who bring up their averages with relationship, rather than skill. -15% are ex Bannees gravitating to their new elos/placing. -5% "just play for fun."
You'll be raped by high elo smurfs whether you play in Ranked or Norms. But at least in Norms, you don't have to take it seriously. Surrenders are respected in Norms. You move on. Next. In Ranked, it puts you two games back.
