if im on op.gg and it says im 1,509 MMR Silver 2 ..
and i just qued with a bronze 4 ez that feeds every single game and is a fresh account.. also has iron 1 mmr i think ill stay in draft until season 9. i also gain 15 lp and lose like 25 now. great new system lmfao.
OP.GG is not a proper indication of MMR. They are just an estimate.

Op.gg doesn't know how to measure mmr and this pre-season is making that fact very obvious. The problem isn't ranked, it is op.gg mmr
It's preseason. Climbing ranked means absolutely nothing. Season starts soon so just play then. By the way, opgg mmr isnt indicative of your actual mmr.
Ranked is completely broken.
The number of Smurfs in lower Tiers ruins any chance the Ranked system under Plat will work.
Riot needs to stop second+ accounts for the system to work but they wont because they have $$ stake in the account selling.
Silver deserves more respect now that they have Bronze and Iron under them.
Soo? New accounts get only very roughly matched. Since mmr is based on elo we can assume mmr works the same way. New accounts started at 1200 elo. So you are only 300 elo away. That's not to bad. Also with new rank changes new accounts all start in iron no matter their mmr. Additionally no of the stats sites actually know the mmr of any account. They just base it on a rough estimate depending on win to loss ratio and your rank.
Additionally New accounts earn and lose mmr much faster so they tend to fluctuate greatly in the beginning. Seem like it all worked as intended.
New players have to play with somebody to get their rank and sometimes they will feed.
I bet if a smurf carried you you wouldn't even bother looking up the mmr.
"New system" isn't even implemented yet. Like Riot said, shit will be weird while they iron out the kinks before the season starts.
Yea I haven't played any ranked really during pre season. Too much stress for a rank that'll get reset.
