While I don't mind music, majority of the time you barely can't make out the song and it sounds terrible.

You actually do see pings a lot in pro play. Typically the basic ones (that probably are accompanied by verbal explanation), but theres plenty of pinging going on if you watch the minimap in pro play. They'll ping out wards placed among other things quite frequently.
Everyone in ranked solo is limited to no voice chat, so it's essentially fair in that regard currently.
If it was a thing, then people are stuck between dealing with the yodelers, the racists, the loud breathing people, and the random music playing people, or opting out of voice chat and being potentially at a strategic disadvantage, both of which sound like unpleasant options. (It also means people would feel pushed to actually get mics if they want to be competitive, since not everyone actually has those set up [or set up properly].)
They could do it like HoTS where its turned off but prompts you at the start of each game tell you if someone else is in the VC
Theres too many woman worried about sexism though. Imma make sure my wife knows its her genders fault we cant have cool things.
