The Ocean Drake is Too Strong

IMO, the new Elemental Dragons are unbalanced. The Ocean Drake provides a huge amount of sustain for the entire team that can practically win a game if a team picks up one or two very early. The Inferno Drake, on the other hand, scales really well, a team with 3 inferno drakes straight up wins the game late against a team with none.

The Cloud Drake, however, doesn't seem to do much, as you only get around 10 movespeed each if you already have boots 2+ another movespeed item. The Mountain Drake doesn't help you much unless you are already winning.

Riot should nerf the Ocean Drakes, for the early game at least, and the Inferno Drakes (I'd say go to 6% bonus AD/AP like the old 1st Dragon instead of 8%). I'd suggest buffing or changing Cloud Drake's buff, and changing Mountain Drakes buff. I'd suggest giving extra damage to minions/regular jungle monsters as well for mountain drake. I'm not sure what to do for Cloud Drake, but making it a % boost or allowing it to work in combat might work.

I agree. Whenever I see a cloud drake I just tell my teammates to leave it, it's not worth dying for. Ocean drake on the other hand is really OP early game during laning phase.

my problem with these drakes is, that their spawns are completely rng based.

it seems like in a lot of specific situations these buffs would be useful. if im under constant pressure from a ranged champion in top lane for example, id really appreciate the ocean drake buff. or if im playing a mana champ, i could use the increased manaregeneration.

split pushers can make great use of the earth and air drake buffs.

the fire drake is just generally really strong.

but since the spawns are completely random, it will rarely happen, that a team just gets the right combintion of drakes for the situation or for their teamcomp. but when it happens the synergy is going to be crazy strong.

imo they need to find a way to take the rng out of those drake buffs, and give the teams some way to control the next spawn, which could be an objective in itself.

granted youd have to get lucky for it to happen, but when it does, think about 3 stacks of ocean drake plus elder. 20% of hp every 6 seconds for the team that has it. It needs to only work outside of combat. Imagine any champion with any kind of built in sustain with that. GG you lose lol
