I thought the complaints about the new HUD were just qqing...

but then I played a couple games with it and holy cow is it terrible. I feel like I'm not even playing league. The cooldown timers are weird, I can't see player names when I tab, the stats and character info is tiny, I can't see my ping in the upper right, the weird animations when you rank up a skill or gain a lvl make me think I'm out of mana. I even burned flash on accident bc I kept mashing "C" to my stats and accidentally hit "F." Please riot the old hud was fine. I was ready to get used to a new HUD, but this one just has less information and the info is smaller and harder to find.

You realize that if you click on your character info button down by your portrait then your basic need to know stats will be consistently displayed. If you press Ctrl + F your ping and FPS will be consistently displayed. This HUD displays WAY more info than the old one you just need to know what you are doing.

It displays more info in a whole lot worse way than ever.

I'm sorry, but HUD should be intuitive enough and designed in a way to not require a map and a magnifying glass to use it.

I used 100% minimap, 50% HUD scale which is fine, since I don't have a 16:9 god-knows-how-big screen. Then I click on an enemy to check their stats and I learn that there are 20 different numbers crammed in one place which happens to be a 100px square.

Why do you need to see player names? If you really need it, hover your pointer over the champion name.

Ctrl + F to toggle Ping and FPS on screen.

You cannot tell the difference between being OOM and gaining a level. How? There's a blue water drop thing when you're OOM. There's a big sparkly thing when you level up.

I literally opened the stats one time, and have never had trouble with it since.

You cannot say that this HUD has less information. The information is smaller and harder to find, but there is more. You now have teammate ult timers. You now have teammate summoner spell timers. You now have enemy death timers in the main screen as well as the TAB menu.

I was also surprised by how different the new HUD was, but I tried to get used to it and I did.

See, that's the problem. If we can't access and use the information, why bother putting it there? I used to keep my HUD at 30%, because I didn't need to know much - CD's were about it. My health and mana bars are on my champ, my teammates health and mana bars were clearly visible even at small size, and tab menu was easily readable.

Now everything's crammed in the corner. Supposedly. I'm not sure, I haven't been able to patch and actually play a game.

So maybe it's usable, but maybe it isn't and the entire game is a clusterfuck right now, so why do I bother?

When, in chat, something like "PlayerA has quit" or "PlayerB is on a killing spree", where it doesn't say which champ they are currently playing, I like to be able to quickly press Tab to see who it's referring to, now I have to press Tab and search through everyone to find who it's talking about. Not a terrible pain in the butt, but fairly inconvenient.

I don't mind the hud either, but holy shit you're toxic. Differing opinions on whether you like something or not isn't a reason to call people "dumb as a cow."

Press the icon next to where the stats show up, or press ctrl+c. It keeps up the important part of your stats permanently. And saying there's less info in this HUD is incorrect. Now they give you the enemy and ally death timers right over the minimap, you get cooldown timers on your allies' ultimates, and it desplays your range in the stat pane. Also all the info is more focused in the bottom of the screen, so logically it's actually easier to find.

It is just crybabies qq'ing. They haven't gotten used to the HUD so they are going to cry about it until they finally realize the sheer amount of features it has over the other one HUD.

Or maybe we just have an opinion, you know. I wouldn't say either one is objectively better (more features doesn't automatically mean superiority, too many variables), but to disregard one opinion by calling it "crybabies qq'ing" degrades your own position.

Show a little more tact and you'll have an easier time convincing people. Others have convinced people to accept the HUD just fine by using a little tact.

Yeah I'm seeing alot of players complain about this new HUD, but i cant help but feel its because theyre afraid of change. I love the new HUD, it looks cool, the animations are fun, the tab menu is sweet now that the teams are side to side and can be moved around. I think everyone is jumping the gun, and just needs to chill for a little bit

Please Riot.. give us a option to use the old HUD

I literally get eye pain, headaches, and can not see some of the info on it with out strain .. I play this game almost everyday and love it but I honestly will have to quit if I do not have the option for the old one back. I wear glasses and have a large monitor almost on top of me and it's still painful.. Please this is my first time I ever came on the boards to post but I feel like I have to. I love your game but sadly will not play anymore if I am forced to use this HUD.

It's not a matter of not liking it.. It is a matter of not being able to see and being in pain while trying to enjoy my favorite game.
