I need some help with a build for Taliyah.

Recently I've been having issues against a tanky teams.

Sadly can't seem to hurt them despite picking Rylai's (for kitting and not dying easily), Sorc boots for that magic pen and Liandry's. If they got divers I get Zhonya's or Abyssal. However I feel like I can't deal a lot of damage against tanks and die to their carries, AKA. I'm the last person standing in my team and we couldn't kill a tank and going 1v1 against squishies is sort of a bad idea with this build considering some marksmen 2-3 shot me down despite the fact I got 4k health and I wanna get Void Staff, but I usually go for something like Banshee, Spirit Visage, Guardian Angel, but I deal not enough damage.

Specially against champions like Talon, Xin, Diana, Akali, Fizz. They all seem to sort of out damage me and I get no escapes, been forced to take exhaust most of these matches to have an escape. Though with that said, any suggestions to increase my damage and survivability?

AP carries generally don't do well vs tanks; that's more the ADCs job. Taliyah is more about kiting around a fight; yes she has a lot of burst with EW, but most of her damage comes out over time, and you need to be moving around the map to get fresh ground.

Talon hard-counters you; Fizz is also pretty difficult. If a champion has a dash (especially a targeted dash), try to predict when they're going to use it, and you can throw down your E to chunk them for a huge amount if they dash on you. Better yet, you can also knock them away with your W by casting it on yourself.

Banshees and SV are tank items; use your rylais with your spells and kite back; you're still a mage, not a tank.

My build is usually RoA, Rylais, Sorc Boots, DCap, Void Staff/Abyssal, and either Zhonyas or Ludens depending. Order can vary, but RoA and Rylais are really good on her imo.

I have a Level 7 mastery with Taliyah on my main account (D5). Try this build: item 3100item 3285item 3116item 3151item 3742item 3065. I do well against most teamcomps with this. No boots needed, and replace the last two with other tank items depending on the majority of the enemy team's damage.

Not much to do man ... Taliyah got her hard times shredding tanks .... in that sense she is a very balanced mage.

With item 3151 item 3116 you shold be able to freely poke them.

I don't know what summoner you're using apart from flash, but if you're going against an assassin, bring barrier. It is actually pretty amazing since it got its CD lowered. I brought it once vs a leblanc and I ended up shitting on her and carrying the game solely because of how many times barrier saved me in lane and allowed me to kill her instead.

Also, try getting a RoA on her. That's normally what I rush first when I play her.

honestly, rushing rylai's doesn't seem like a good idea, the item is expensive as all hell and before you can start applying the slow you'll probably be very behind, Instead I think going for Liandry's first gives you a better edge, it costs the same amount but you can start with haunting guise and boots, also, your E slows and does damage so Liandry's will apply it's passive and it also preps you for a power spike for when you get rilay's

Still the build is really expensive and you kinda miss an important point on Taliyah, you're building a lot of HP and in reality Taliyah is more of a poke champ, HP works when they close the gap but there's also something else that works, movement speed.

So, while the damage could be considered less, you take advantange of Taliyah's passive on her Q and her innate, the build I like to do is: item 3285 item 3009 item 3100 as core items and then maybe a item 3135 item 3089 or actually go for item 3116 item 3151

For the same price you become way more slippery and your initial damage packs a punch with luden, also you can autoattack while doing Q animation so it's almost as if you had 6 rocks on your Q thanks to Lich bane, magic resist will kill you though hence why the next item should be oriented to bypass this or keep them in place so that you can fire at them some more.

there's also always room for item 3157 and if you take a look you get 10% cdr with lich bane for a total of 20% cdr, sadly that's as much as you can get without runes and masteries but if cdr is what you want you can always exchange swiftness boots for item 3158. For me 20% is more than enough tbh.

ROA > Sheen > Boots > Rylai's > Lichbane > Luden's > whatever you want.

I have never done bad with Taliyah, hence the reason why i main her now. My favorite build on her that has worked very well and given me a lot of suitability is: item 3027 item 3020 item 3116 item 3001 item 3135 item 3089 . If you are super ahead, replace item 3001 with item 3285

I dont know what role you usually play Taliyah in, but spirit visage and guardian angel? You are missing a bit of extra damage you could get. item 3020 , item 3116 , and item 3151 are nice items to buy. But item 3151 is something I wouldnt get mid game or early game. With sorcerer's shoes and R.C. you can buy item 3285 and item 3089 for that extra boost of damage. Trust me, your pokes along with R.C. are gonna scare the shit out of adc's and tanks if they get caught. For me, I rush to get luden's echo, then Rabadon's Deathcap, then Rylai's Crystal, then Hourglass. Of course along the way you can get sorcerer's shoes, but that's how I build Taliyah. If you go support as Taliyah, item 3303 and item 2049. After that, just get what you need.

Also choose your fights carefully. If you think having all of these items are gonna help you in a 1v1 with someone like Talon and Katarina, think again. You want to punish champs and catch them with your team if they make a mistake, hence the term "control mage". Sure you can take on Garen head to head, but you can slow him down and poke long enough for your teammates to catch up and kill him.
