Spell thief was where all the gold came from. That range nerf to autos was significant. She doesn't have the passive control to survive to late game without an income.

You need to check the range of every other support then. She still has the longest range of them all, equaled only by Zyra. (I checked the ranges on Mobafire, there may have been some I missed or had outdated info, but that won't help your argument any if I did)

I've seen LCS games where annie's taken coin and other games when she's taken Relic Shield this season. She's pretty flexible like that.
