Unsuccessful series after 1 loss

I got into my series with ekko victory last night, went to bed, woke up, had some breakfast, started a game that went into a remake, played with GP next and lost and now i'm unsuccessful in completing my series. Does riot fuckin' hate remakes during series completion or is it 1 loss and you can't rank up? because at that point you might as well just remove the series entirely and just give everyone a number on a list.
