Should Duo be Removed from Solo/Duo Ranked?

Should Duo queue be removed from Solo/Duo and just be Solo Ranked?

A course the most notable problem with Duo queue is Boosting(Intentionally and unintentionally). Had a game with Silvers and Bronze players and just 1 Iron player. A course the poor guy got destroyed. Looked up his match history and saw that he duo's a lot, except this one game. This is either the result of the Iron player's MMR getting high enough to be matched with us or everyone else's low enough to warrant having an Iron player in their match.

According to Riot, a duo's MMR is averaged before being matched against other players. Example: A person with 1300 MMR(made up) duo'ing with someone with 1900 MMR will be matched with players around 1600 MMR. Win or lose, both player's MMR would tell the imbalanced system that they are better or worse than they actually are and get matched accordingly after a number of games.
