So.. I've been thinking to myself for quite a while now, who is the best generic adc? When I say generic, I mean that this champion could practically be played into any bot lane he/she ran into and still do well. Just wanting to hear some opinions from all y'all ad mains out there. :^)
Graves is the best generic ADC. He has the highest burst, highest AOE, increased durability and even an on-demand attack speed bonus tied to mobility. That's all you could dream of in a generic ADC. However, he doesn't have the range, tank-shredding, late-game scaling mechanics or poke that some other ADCs have. His utility is also pretty weak even though it is fairly unique. All of these traits can make an ADC a much better pick than Graves in certain games, but he is your best go-to generic pick imo.
Edit: Caitlyn is probably the most reliable in-lane and pretty good late-game, but has one of the lowest carry potentials throughout the longest part of the game(mid-game).
the only reason i say Caitlyn is because she is the most basic ADC, meaning she has less to worry about spell-wise and her early range makes it easy for her basic kit to be enough to poke and stay safe. She still takes skill to do well against some ADCs that are good enemies for her, but she has a higher probability for winning her lane against a counter than other ADCs. Also granted she has a support who synergizes with her well.
