@Reav3 On the topic of Kha'Zix's rework...
So, Kha'Zix seems to be a bit of a 'problematic' champion right now, and I was just wondering... Is there ANY chance of him getting a Kog'Maw level rework-revert to before the Assassin update? I know that these kinds of questions are pretty difficult and unfun to answer from the perspective of the team that reworked him, but I'm curious nonetheless.
I was personally a big fan of pre-rework Kha'Zix, and I'm picking up that other people (cfr. the people on the r/Kha'Zix mains forums on reddit) think the same. Many of them agree that Kha'Zix was very well balanced before his rework and generally in a good state. He had a lot of potential to make crazy outplays and perform well, but he wasn't necessarily oppressively OP. He also had a very good identity as to what type of champion he was (picking off isolated enemies, cleaning up teamfights with resets, and being able to 'enhance his kit' depending on the situation), and yet it was deemed necessary to 'individualize' him even more, which I personally don't really understand... Another argument was that his evolution path was a bit too monotonous and too similar every single game. Realistically speaking, some evolutions will always outshine the others, so a natural order of evolutions that people will generally go for will exist no matter what, so I kind of find that a pointless argument for the rework (sorry). I personally believe that 'spicing up his evolution diversity' was possible without adjusting as much of his kit as was the case. In my eyes a Kog'Maw level revert could work well on him, put him back in a state where he was actually fine as is, and make the Q focused on Damage vs isolation again instead of CDR & DPS (which was a very peculiar design choice on an assassin). But that's just me. Any input that you might be able to give?
Just for the record: I'm not trying to hate on the rework. I love Kha'Zix and I'll adore playing him no matter what. The rework definitely brought in some novel concepts, but to me personally, he was just a bit more fun pre-rework as opposed to now, and I fear that the adjustments that have been made to him might make it a lot harder to get him in a state that was as balanced as before the rework. Hence, I wonder about the possibility of a partial (or full) revert.
Figured it was worth a shot to ask at least :)
