Gameplay improvements Rito please
Rito you guys are pumping out a lot with new items, champs and I think it's time you stop, take a breath and fix a lot of issues that were put on the back burner like game improvements.
The first thing I want to grab at is assists/kills. There has been more times then I can count where i've made a play in which a kill was achived. However since I had hardly any HP and baiting for their engage under tower, I was unable to inflict damage as I was too concentrated using the tower to my advantage and their disadvantage, resulting in making an out play where they died while killing me or trying too. Now I didn't get a kill or assist due to the fact that I didn't hit them with a auto/spell. However I think I should have gotten a kill (assist if ally killed him) because I was the sole reason he died. Another example is in team fights, lets say a VI ults to me (lets say I'm adc) but I was focused on killing a fed Ahri and I didn't get a chance to auto VI but she died from my team when she ulted and killed me. I think you should be able to get kills (from tower) or assist if you take enemy aggro before they die because that means you were a part to play in the death of the enemy. Even if it was running for your life. An example is i was fleeing from a champion and all he had to do was one auto and I was dead (we both knew that) and my teammate came to my aid, however if the enemy champion switched right then and there he would have killed my ally easily, however he was too focused on trying to kill me that by the time he decided to switch targets he was too low hp that he ended up dying. Short sum, if you get aggro from a enemy champion you should get an assist or kill depending on how he died (tower, or allie).
Now next thing I want to grab at is quick pings. We have no communication other than some simple pings and chat. How many people died by typing dragon in 30 or ult down/up. We need a more indept ping system to help eleminate the need for chat and more use of quick pings. Rito why not?
Another thing that would help summorners is being able to hit tab and see their allies cooldowns, currently we can see their sums cooldown but not trinkets or ults and thats not even a timer, we don't know the time it will be up. As a jungler it would be so helpful to see when your allies ults are up or down before engaging a lane or team fight and it would help keep track for trinket placements so people can tab check to see if mid/top has trinket available to place at baron and if its close to being up. Not rocket surgery here but I mean if thresh can have 100% wife steal then why can't we have timers...
Now we move on to my biggest change yet. A pratice mode.
I play a lot of normals, normals is where you play league and it's okay to make mistakes but normals is really 50/50. It's been so long since I've had an even game. A lot of times you're on a team full of retards or "second time with this champ lol!!!" and lose or you're on a team with lvl 5-4 masteries champions that you get a 20min game before they surr. We need a game-mode that allows a player vs player environment where you can play champions (It wouldn't even hurt to allow all champions to be played if you own them or not) you want to learn. This mode will be for learning a new champion before playing competitive. Have no chat so players can't be toxic, have no reward for winning or losing but a base amount like 50ip or so. No xp towards player/ or champ (if lower than level 30). This will help make normals more fun to play and help eleminate some issues with normals and a great way to be able to learn a new champion without getting flamed by your team even if it's normals or not because people treat normals seriously because they just want to causally play competitive without stressing about losing LP.
These are some areas that with minor touch can improve gameplay and help with the toxic players and help with in game performance.
