In what facet is Yi/sated Yi balanced?
Alright. My opinion? There is no balance with devourer. Or Yi without devourer. OR YI AT ALL. I'll explain why.
Pros:
-1.5x the true damage (Yi E)
-Passive basically doubles your autoattack damage while sated.
-Bonus 50 magic damage on hit, which also is multiplied to 100 every two hits.
-Can afford to build tanky OR full damage and still annihilate.
-Untargetability (Yi Q)
-Absolute everything shredder.
-Good siege because attack speed.
Cons:
-Lack of CC
-Shut down by hard CC
-Lack of escape
-Reliant on BoRK and ult for extra speed.
-Have to farm for a little bit to get rolling.
Alright. Those five cons DON'T MATTER because devourer is a free penta as soon as you're sated. Bullshit.
No devourer
Pros:
-True damage on active hits (Yi E)
-Passive makes you do an extra half of your autoattack damage just from attacking.
-Heal on W keeps sustain in lane and reduces damage (didn't add this to devourer because it's useless in a fight usually)
-Still shreds shit just as fast as devourer Yi with a BoRK, last whisper and IE.
-Untargetability (Yi Q)
-Still pretty damn good siege.
-Can still build tanky.
No devourer
Cons:
-Lack of CC
-Shut down by hard CC
-Lack of escape
-Reliant on BoRK and ult for extra speed.
See? I couldn't find any cons that devourer brought to the table. Sure you have to farm for a bit, but that **DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE YOU CAN DO IT IN 15 MINUTES. **
