Bronze 5 to gold 5 in 1 season

For everyone 'hard stuck' bronze or silver, or even gold - dont give up. I got to gold 5 on 2 different accounts this season, i was convinced i was hard stuck bronze, even tilted so much that was banned twice on the bronze account(reformed now), and so made a new account that was placed in silver 5 which i eventually got to gold with. After getting to gold, i returned to this account which was bronze 3 at the time, then dominated my way to silver 4 easily and after had about 3-4 weeks of struggle to get to gold 5 finally (because silver is elo hell). I achieved this by doing a lot of different things: +Stopped tilting, at least most of the time. +Abused mute all for a lot of games, but not the majority of them. +new how to build against champs, and when to build the items. (i usually know what ill build and when during loading screen, but always adjust if the enemy is snowballing or i am snowballing) +Mained 3-4 champs in my role (top lane). And played well in every other role. (50%+ winrate on the 1-2 champs i play well in every role) +Abused tristana and twitch. +watched imaqtpie, adrian riven, viper, and a few other high elo streamers. ( i main riven) learned what they did, why, and how to abuse matchups and put myself ahead and then learn the concept of snowballing. -get myself ahead, then get my teammates ahead. Dont take kills when im a tank or supp, etc. +And had the game knowledge to go for wins tenaciously. +and stop playing drunk/when tired.

If youre bronze or silver and what to get to a higher elo, please remember some of the above to climb or at least help your team mates climb in games :) And remember, silver and bronze are the lowest of the low, if you have the confidence in lane and you know your matchup and know the ways you can die or get outplayed - then you will never lose. This is kind of a bragging topic, but anyone stuck can get a lot from this. Good luck to all

by abusing champions doesn't make you a good player. you play champions anyone could win with . try playing teemo on rank and let's talk about "gold v" later..

It makes you a mostly meta player, which isn't bad, Imaqtpie plays meta all the time, so do a lot of other streamers, but you can't question if they're good or not, constantly revolving around the meta still takes skill, you need to learn new champs all the time, even so, I rarely play meta, but as much as meta champs can be annoying, that doesn't mean meta players aren't skilled, sure when Kat wasn't reworked she used to be my easy win champ, but if anyone could win with the champions he mentioned, then I doubt most of the Ranked community would be stuck in bronze/silver or higher [sg-zephyr]

imaqtpie is a streamer... so he plays stuff people wanna see (and most times he feeds anyway)

Purposely playing subpar picks and then claiming someone else isn't good because they play champs/builds that are optimal is kind of asinine my friend. If you're a one trick teemo main who plays ad and you hit gold 5 while someone else hits gold 5 playing meta champs they are not worse than you. It just means you're better at teemo than they are and that doesn't mean much

You'll notice that once you reform, you climb a lot more.

I was low gold for quite a while and as soon as I stopped talking and focused on my own mistakes, I hit plat instantly, probably would've went higher had I not quit.

I would like to try again, but the current meta is garbage so I don't play.

As Xya said, you have to be good to play around a constantly revolving meta, and being an OTP, I suffer when the meta doesn't suit me.
