About Twisted Treeline

Hi Rioters, i want to ask you if there is a chance to have back the old TT, since it was a beautiful map and i really had so much fun played it, lot more than the new TT. I think the old TT was more interesting, with more jungle, more buffs, the Drake, the wards, bigger map, more brushes. It was more challenging and fun. The new jungle is only wolfs > ghosts > golems > see if can gank, if not repeat the cicle (if you don't use the support meta, in that case you do even a couple of minion waves). It's boring.

TT is a fun mode if you play champs that fit the profile.

It's main problems are

  1. Retarded matchmaking that I'm pretty sure is not even coded right.

  2. Same champions all the time.

I saw the same problems with the matchmaking. About the champs, adcs and assassins are useless in 3v3, maybe that's why you see always the same champs. The problem is the old TT was a lot better than this, i still don't understand why they changed it..

Match Making in TT is mainly a issue about lack of players more than anything if there the same amount of players as say SR then there would be less issues with it

I would say the problem lies more with how the map is designed. It's very easy to catch people out and hard to escape unless you're playing someone hyper mobile or overtuned like Darius/Sion (who never really need to escape anyway). There's not enough room to dodge and play around people, which really limits the viable champion pool. It leads to a few champs that just godstomp everyone else. Anyone that's hard to take down on SR becomes a full-on raid boss on TT.

Another issue is that it's very difficult to stop snowballing unless your comp is just straight up better than the opponent. Riot needs to either increase the ambient gold gain or introduce some anti-snowball mechanics, because most games are either stomp or get stomped. There's rarely an in-between. Increased gold flow would allow games to be more even, make death slightly less punishing, and actually allow the losing team to play the game.
