Distinction between damage dealers and tanks.

Might be why I dislike juggernauts and off-tanks. I am not saying this class lacks weaknesses, but they're genuinely the most champions to play against in League of Legends in my opinion. Champions that typically build items such as Black Cleaver and Titanic Hydra. They feel like they're tanky.. but not actually a tank which becomes clear when they fall of in the late game. There's something awfully frustrating about a Black Cleaver-only Darius, dunking your HP-bar for many hundred true damage, same with Garen's ultimate and Cho'Gath's as well. Note that I don't think either of these champions are particularly overpowered, but it feels like a misfit, for someone to be a tank.. but also have an execute. Look, it makes much more sense for a squishy Veigar to hit you for a 1300 ultimate than a Garen doing the exact same.. just that he's 3-4k hp in comparison. Yes, both champions have their individual weaknesses and strenghts that balances it out, such as Garen's lack of a gap closer and Veigar's superior range. These champions, Kled, Darius, Nasus, Jax, Irelia, Jarvan IV. These are champions that are quite tanky (at least before end game), yet deal ridiculous amounts of damage. These champions are next to impossible to 1v1, that's fine, a few of them are duelists, but in the mid-game no champions comes to close to beat these unless they're fed as heck. No midlaner or adc stands a chance unless they are far superior mechanically or fed.

That being said, there are 2, notorious examples of absolutely obnoxious champions, Cho'Gath and Shen. As for Cho'Gath, his oneshot with his ultimate is absolutely ridiculous (I can't stretch this enough, I don't think he's overpowered necessarily) from a pure gameplay standpoint, there's something so awfully wrong with a several thousand HP beast one-shotting you. There's clearly a lack of distinction between him being a tank and being a damage dealer. Is he a tank or a one-shot machine? I suggest going with either and rework his abilities.

My other example is Shen. It's not just me who noticed, friends, even high-elo ones (~Masters) have noticed that Shen's base damage is.. well.. nuts. With a Q that enhances his auto-attacks, he's like the strongest duelist in toplane (add his W negating damage). He's a tank that can 1v1 any other duelist, Irelia, Fiora, Jax.. you name it. His most notable strength is his global ultimate, allowing him to help a teammate from across the map, then shouldn't his weakness be that alone, in a 1v1, he should be weaker? Just some thoughts, you're free to let me know your opinion.

Tl;dr - I personally prefer a better distinction between tanks and damage dealers. That's why I prefer the designs of Yasuo, Fiora, Riven and Jayce (They're duelists to an extent, while still better defined as AD champions) much more fun than semi-tank, semi-ad Darius, Garen, Jax, Nasus, Kled. I also think that damage and tankiness are opposites, your tankiness and damage should contrast.

Side note: I tried to not make this too much of a rant. While this subject sometimes gets me salty (Shen.. pls), I've tried to avoid complaints, this is not a "rito nerf this-post". .. Also.. I really .. really hate Titanic Hydra, just needed to get that off my chest.

Damage dealers. Will instantly kill you. I watched a 24min Draven kill our poor 4.5 item Ezreal, with 1 autoattack. RIP. May we meet again #The100. There I stood, while a Vayne with IE+Shiv, QSS and boots shredded through a Rammus and Mundo(Both with over 250armor) in less than 5seconds, by herself. "What can one do against such reckless hate!?". Rengar jumped out of the bush, he pressed Q. Everyone died except for Ornn. Ornn was allowed to live to send a message "No weebs allowed". Akali pressed Q, procd her passive, and 1shotted the poor soul....he didn't even get to get 1CS before she penetrated his rectal passageway.

Tanks... Don't build BC+Titanic Hydra. Those are called bruisers/juggernauts.
