Troll picks

Something that I've always struggled with understanding is: what is a troll pick and is it a reportable offense? Disclaimer: the topic is mainly supposed to cover ranked as it's far more competetive than normal games. Last game now I had a Tristana jungle in ranked, it seemed as though she had no intention of winning or helping the team. While the player was not intentionally feeding or griefing me and some other team members experienced it as trolling to a certain extent. When some of the team members told the player they intended to report him/her, he/she simply claimed that he/she was doing his/her best and that it was toxic to claim that he/she was trolling. Was this an instance of a reportable offense?

If I use the same logic, could I justify picking AD bruiser Soraka Top as long as I claimed I was doing my best?

Theoretically yes. Nobody is forced to play meta-champions. And as long as whatever they wanna play theoretically works they can't be banned for it.

AD Soraka might be extremely weak, but it's still allowed. And so is Tristana jungle. However: Playing a champion with no ap scalings and still building full ap should be reported i.e. Garen or Zed

Troll pick doesnt exist in Riots rules. That term was invented by low elo players who watch too much twitch and care too much about meta that they dont even understand. You can pick any champion to any role, build any items. So Tristana is fine.

Troll picks are not really a thing.

People will threaten to troll and play something bad, and this is the closest anything can come to a "troll pick."

Off-meta is not Troll pick, neither is accidental feeding.

People use "trolling" to label a whole host of things that they find upsetting whether those things are malicious or not.

Only malicious behavior can really be considered to be trolling.

**No there are no troll picks ** even in ranked you can pick any champ for any lane with any equipment and any spells,

None of that is in any way banable .
