How do you practice after level 30?

I got to level 30 about 2 days ago and I gotta say, its hell here. I'm going up against Golds, Silvers, and I even had a plat in my match once.

I either end up feeding, falling behind on a lot of cs, or just losing my lane early.

Before it was just level 15-30s queuing with higher leveled players, now, the whole lobby's level 100+. You can check my op.gg for proof.

You simply have to keep playing, I'd say. You're already playing norms, so there's nowhere else you can really go. I don't know if it's true, but people have said you can get your ranked placements done in order to be matched with people your level in norms. You can try that if you're comfortable. I can see ranks being an issue, but level doesn't mean much so don't get intimidated by that (I'm level 80 and I have no issue fighting people who are level 200 or something, we all suck if we're matched together).

Hmm I thought that Norms had their own set of MMR, or another separated grading scheme to match you with opponents. I could be wrong though since I almost never think about it. But I do agree with you that there's nowhere else to go so all that's left to do is play and have fun! Eventually you'll catch on to playstyles and be able to go toe-to-toe with people at that skill range

Normals have their own MMR completely separate from ranked. People who mostly play ranked have rather low normal MMR and when they play normals(usually because they're playing with friends or just dicking around) they get matched with fresh accounts.

Well some unfortunate news:

  1. You just can't :/ after 30 I find its now boots on the ground in a war zone. Time to actually learn the game I find.

  2. You "can" if you find discords/custom matches that only allow lower level players (Rare I'm sure.) and even then. Theres smurfs. So...

  3. Problem is Normal MMR and Ranked are different, people will say otherwise. But they are :) Normals you played before you had ranked. Got an MMR type and climbed little bit or stayed completely. With no hard resets (I just tried to get mine reset for normals. And they're like "nono our systems to fragile." (Yea no shit it is.)

I had this same problem when I started, but I eventually realized that these players are level 100+ and playing with me for a reason, because they are complete garbage. Being a higher level correlates nothing towards skill level and after you get over the anxiety ( if you can call it that ) of playing against higher level players you realize that they are not very good. An example I had while playing norms recently is that I was able to solokill a mr 7 level 200 malzahar twice in lane as a mr 5 level 35 noob yasuo.
