Is Trundle better top or jung?
Title. Just bought Trundle and enjoy him in both top and jungle, but was wondering which is more useful for a team or which is just generally better.

I like jungle because you can call it Trungling.
Trundle is one of the best Junglers in the game, due to his ability to 1v1 the living hell out of most conventional jungle picks. He's got great debuffs tucked away in his kit, lots of stat-steroids of his own, bush-checks, long-range slows, sustain.....he's a real brute.
will allow you to steal camps and hit for pretty heavy damage with a simple AA+Q, especially if you have a
or
up. He tends to scale off a fair bit into the lategame but that's easily remedied by either getting ahead, which isn't too hard to do on a champ like Trun, or shifting your role to peeling and playing more reactively,
Trundle is a member of the jungle pool who can run flat AD marks/quints and still have both extremely fast clears and strong ganks, especially if you've got 10% cdr right off the bat to throw out those Q's more. Timing your Q after basic attacks is also pretty crucial to having fast clears.
As a toplaner, you're better off building whatever will beat the enemy laner and then wrap it up with some HP for teamfights. Usually this implies an early
and
/
since you'll be maxing your Q first and need the armor pen and beef more than anything.
So, to answer your question, Trundle is best Mid.
trolololololo
Both are good. I generally prefer jungle, he basically sustains forever with lifesteal runes in the jungle.
jungle is his only role now...he can't outdamage or outtank the top laners so he has to farm in jungle to gain gold
pretty much every top laner wrecks him now...his passive was so much better when it was 20%...so not fair, 4% of 200 hp is 8 hp for a minion, 4% of an 8000 hp Sion is 320 (lol)
but his AD stealing and AOE slow with a move speed increase make him a semi-effective jungler
Jungle has less counters than top. He also doesn't require a huge amount of items or damage to work. Q, R, E are all very useful spells no matter how much gold he gets.
He has trouble vs. some tops. But in a straight fight he will destroy most 1v1. Just his gold scaling relatively isn't too great. It isn't like Jax or whatever where you notice a huge spike once you buy an item.
He seems like he might be okay in this meta because there are tanks for him to drain of stats.
It depends on who he is facing top. He pretty much is always good in jungle.
