Took a month or two off ranked play, was a bad experience, came back and....

First game, played as support, we were doing OK. Graves on my team went AFK.

These are rare occurrences, that we selectively remember according to lyte. So tried again today.

I played adc, guy who didnt get his jungle roll took xerath support.....Now Ive seen this work, but this guy wasent someone who even understood a little bit what bot lane en-tales. Blasted minions, fed other laners, pushed waves when we should have been freezing near turret. I was Jinx, and thinking that id get to late game and be useful, however top lane mundo fed a bunch of kills to Jax...blamed jungle, started feeding (and talking about feeding..we will see if the report works) and generally talking smack to our team...he caused a melt-down.

Another rare occurrence.

Ill try number 3 tonight.

Edit: After watching some "top soloq players" games, had a realization.

This is just how the game is, doesn't matter if bronze or challenger.

First game I saw a guy named japaneseman (Or japanman or something) feed a bunch of kills as TF mid, then go stand in the fountain...every now and then he would move a little, most likely to avoid an afk, but the bad part was that the rest of the team was doing well, and held out for quite a while before losing....Although I cant read the chat on spectated games, Ill bet it was the junglers fault or something, guy didn't do well so didn't want to play any more. Team would ping him sometimes, then he would do a lap or two around the fountain before just standing there again. (Baby)

Next game was a complete one sided stomp, losing team surrendered at 20.

Last game I saw piglet feeding. He got killed a few times in bot lane as Lucian, then every time he went to lane he was going all in, over and over and over (and dying)...Just like the baddies I complain about...obviously piglet is no baddie though.

This is the same crap that bothers me in my games, I think the entire game is just like this and either you deal or you leave.

TLDR: Game is just like this, from the lowest to highest ranks. Either deal with it or stop playing.

I've also recently started queuing for ranked matches again.

I ended up hovering between Silver I and Silver II with ~1500 MMR last season from my placements, and the sheer amount of toxicity was astounding. My games are a more accurate measure of my abilities to get 4 Hitlers (There are still plenty of nice players for the record.) to co-operate than my own mechanics.

I was placed in Bronze I this season, and I'm slowly climbing back to Silver I. The lower tiers were just as toxic, but at least I can hard-carry my team most often. I dread going back to Silver I and begin facing opponents with decent mechanics who I can't carry against again.

The reports system is far too ineffective. From my games, I've noticed the same toxic players over and over again who would flame their teammates. Sometimes, I will just dodge these games if I see that someone is on their promos.

Ranked restrictions needs to be dealt more harshly and swiftly. Keep those who aren't serious about it in normals, Ranked should be reserved for those who can respect their team by giving 100% of their effort.

I full on wrote down the games I played in a month (after I was told that), and wrote down when I had an afk on my or the enemy team. I scanned and showed it and still got the same response, and some b.s. about "bad luck".

So the guy who claims he is the king of studies, and has all these fake numbers to back up his claims, even though no one but him ever sees them outside of him telling us he has seen them...argues with direct numbers showing otherwise.

Try not playing ranked. I've remained delightfully [almost] salt free for almost 5 seasons!

Also, avoid normals draft. All the ranked rejects get thrown in there now and it's made the queue pretty toxic.

The word you're looking for is entails, but you are correct.

Ranked is easily the least enjoyable mode in League of Legends.

Thing I keep tossing around in my head is that last season, ranked was a lot funner by a long shot.

I had placed into silver and maintained a 50-60% win rate, slowly rising through the season. Win some, lose some, and completely agreed with Lyte on that note at that time.

Provisionals came along, and I had a legit 6 matches, won 3 lost 3, the other 4 had afk's and trolls ("Welcome to provisionals" one said as he called double jungle).

Would I have ended up 7-3 or 5-5...who knows, I didnt get the chance to find out, those matches counted. Ended up 3-7 and demoted to b3.

This season has just been unfun...100% unfun. I cant stand it. I just seem to spam arams its all I can bring myself to do, I dig the game, but cant stand these ranked matches this season.( I have a great win rate in aram, what gives? Why cant I get these people from arams in my ranked games?).

Almost went to silver 1 (thinking yay i'm about to be gold) and then got a huge losing streak (some of it my fault was on tilt). Demoted to silver 3 from silver 2 and proceed to lose my promos 4 times in a row because of AFKs, trolls, complete noobs feeding everywhere and losing all their lanes with bad picks like paper yi jungle (yeah the type the thinks he can just pick yi and press Q to win). Even lost games in the champ select where I already knew we had lost because of our troll comp was weak against their META picks.

Mix the fact that I was on tilt (extremely frustrated) and getting stuck with the worst people ever, it made me demote to silver 5. Now i'm in my promos for silver 3 and my first game I get ashe TOP (she goes AFK the 7 first minutes and comes back after feeding their fizz) and two other trolls who pick gnar and khazix bot and feed their jinx 8 kills in no time. The funniest part is that I was also getting HUGE lag spikes where i couldn't even move and I normally NEVER lag in this game.

HOW THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO CLIMB OUT OF SILVER IF YOU ALWAYS GET UNLUCKY WHEN YOU ARE IN YOUR PROMOS? WHY THE HELL DOES THIS GAME MATCHES YOU WITH THE WORST POSSIBLE PLAYERS WHEN YOU'RE ON A WIN STREAK SO YOU CAN GO DOWN AND DOWN AGAIN?

in b4 you have to carry yourself out.

That's bullshit plain and simple. I'm now 100% certain that all you need is a bunch of luck. Tons of people got to gold and even plat WITHOUT carrying hard. I win 1vs1 games against my gold friend and I do well in 5vs5 matches when we are against plats. Even got a few compliments from a team with plats saying how good I was with malz.

My placements were 8-2 at the beginning of the season with TOTAL dominations (games like 16-2 lux etc). Result: demoted from last season S3 to S5

Ranked games are broken period.
