MR stacking, how to beat?

Been playing a bit of top lane recently, after picking up ryze again, someone used this against me while I was ryze (went d. shield, spectre's cowl, merc treads) and I effectively did no damage what so ever to him (was even more annoying that it was a nasus who thus got access to free farm). He got 100 mr by level 6 and 2 items that gave sustain after being hit by my full combo (which did no damage to him). I tried it as well as illaoi and am going to try it with the new sustain rune, but any tips to get out of the situation as I have had immense success vs any ap champions that dare to look at me in top lane

also ap champs toplane will unsuprisingly have tough times against tanks/juggernauts because they excel at bursting squishies

Nope, you're ap you lose. That's why you only want 1 ap champion per team right now.

item 3151 yeah,item 3091cuz they need the pen, item 3135self explanatory, item 3020always, item 3089 cuz we also need AP, item 3165 but we also have cooldowns and you better have built it by 25 minutes and trust me the adc is still more bursty.
