normally the longer the game the more IP. if that doesn't work for you i believe they have IP boosts for sale in the store.

They do. But really it's more worth it to just buy champions. Unless you are going for runes.

Yeah, if you're looking to get runes specifically then I'd say get the boosts. The day ones are only worthwhile if you intend to devote serious time to it. The per win ones are far more efficient if you're not going to be online for half a day.

According to Wikia (but it may be out-dated), IP/match is some flat amount + some IP/min of game length, higher for a win than for a loss.

So if it's still true, to get more IP/match, you need to win long games. If you want to maximize your IP/time (not /match), try to win as fast as possible.

All that being said, I still don't believe it's a good idea to try and maximize your IP gain. You'll throw games by trying to rush the victory when you could have easily won if you had taken your time.
