Penalty vs Compensation (for admins)

I understand your reasoning behind being really harsh on AFK's, trolls etc.etc, but but that doesn't help anyone that's already been through a game! If a player goes afk they get suspended for like 1 week, that great and all but what about me having to play a 4v5 the whole match? It's like all of us get punished for one player. I am more than positive (and livid at you people at Riot) that there is a better way to control this situation or at least grant compensation for having to deal with leavers (what I mean by that is loss prevention). You guys have no idea how badly I want to walk into your building and tell you guys off. Just as much as everyone else, no one wants to play a one sided game. I don't care if the other team gets the win, but I don't want a loss because a member or two never connected or left during the match. Please please do something about this...it's so frustrating. I love playing this game but I have to consider even playing at this point sometimes because Idk when i'm going to get leavers. Like right now I lost a placement match because our mid (which I gladly (now regret) gave to someone else) hadn't connected for the entire 25 minute match. It's like you guys touch something and wreck another...A whole buildiing full of people on this game and you can't even come up with a solution...
