And that's why you play Wukong or Malphite... Except that now everyone yells at me for building armor on Malphite instead of going AP... like REALLY? YOU'RE REALLY gonna complain about a 500 damage AOE Nuke every 4 seconds while the enemy ADC kills himself on my thornmail?

Had the same feeling With Shyvana... until Sated came out.
And before the rework you got reported for trolling if you picked him. Being a Skarner main is rough.
Literally atleast once a game someone has told me "You just got that skin because Skarner is op!" And I'm always like "Yo, I can't help it if I got BC Skarner from Riot's Christmas thing..." Hell, its WHY I started playing him!
I can relate, he was always one of my favs before the last rework, then I still played him on occasion afterwards cause I liked him as a champion, and now he's just OP and I WAS having a great time playing him..... but now he's 99% of the time banned and if you do get him and wreck face you just get called a fotm player.....
That's also the life a Rengar main, he doesn't change, the meta doesn't really shift, but all of a sudden his fotm month again and I get shit when I dominate a match with him.... I've been maining him since release, back before 5.16 I was the one being labeled a fotm player just for playing my long time main :/
When I started, I was a 
main, and now he seems to be a top tier pick for top lane. Kinda cool that underplayed champs get popular after some pro plays them
Back in the day when I played 
as a main. Then people started abusing him to all hell, and now it feels frustrating to play him because everything is built against him.
I'm having the same issue with Mordekaiser now. People are saying that I don't even play him, and I just changed my username because of his rework. Why. Don't. You. Believe. Me?

I'm sad he's banned so often, I really miss playing him. Hopefully people will stop reacting so badly to him after the mobility nerfs settle in. I'll probably just end up running Movement Speed Quints instead of Attack Damage ones to cancel it out. Don't even get a pat on the back for doing good with him anymore; I get called a noob who abuses OP champs.
I can't play my favorite champion without getting bashed from people saying he's OP now. In my opinion, Skarner was ALWAYS strong it's just that people didn't see him often, it pisses me off. Plus, i hate people who bandwagon just because they want to abuse the fact that he is very strong at the moment, but as soon as he gets hotfixed, nobody is going to play him. I feel like the small red banner on my champion player card and the fact that i own a skin for him pretty much does enough justification to say "i'm a skarner main" in SOME type of way i guess. But geez, Skarner becomes relevant for 5 minutes and it's not in a good way either. I'll still be playing him either way.

I feel like Riot literally cannot balance her whatsoever in a spot that they like.

As a jungle tank main, I have been wanting to buy him and give him a go and add him to my roster of champions, but he is in the spotlight, and I don't like playing champions in the middle of Riots spotlight.
Once he is out it seems like he has problems galore and only works if he is ahead of the enemy.
As a Viktor main I feel your pain.
Were you a skarner main pre 1 or 2 rework? I miss release skarn with the free cdr passive and ap scaling. Either way Skarn is just a weak Udyr, he's got pretty much the same kit but less tank, initiation, damage, and cc.
I would believe you. He seems like a ton of fun, before and after rework!
