why max twitch e first?

seriously. lets say i come out of my q, turned my r on and got my ie + an ats item (lets say phantom dancer and not runaans) my autoattack (as an example of 2 days ago) does 442 dmg. my fully stacked e does 402 dmg. so it does 40 less than an autoattack AND it takes fucking forever. in the time it takes to do the animation of the e, i could do almost 3 more autoattacks. so i seriously dont see the point in the e. i mean i understand it has a high range and can be used to execute, but the 3 guides i read when i bought twitch 3 days ago, 2 of them told me to max e first and both of these 2 told me to use my e as soon as i got 6 stacks on the enemys. am i getting it wrong or what? to me the e is okay in early cause its extra dmg and im not that fast but as soon as i got my q (maxed) and my first attackspeed item, the e is way too slow and just a dps lose.

It is his main source of waveclear and damage in the laning phase.

without it all he has are auto attacks for damage.

i used to max Q first back when i was a total noob, but then i realized if you're going to all in at levels 1-5 its the ability max which gives you the most damage output. even over a Q max.

Maybe it a 1v1 that could be the case but in a 2v2 or just a regular teamfight u want to apply ur passive and then E to as many people as possible, so in reality u will be doing more than just 402 damage with ur E.

They told you to E as soon as you hit 6 stacks? Who's guides were these? Twitch's E is a dps loss on his autos, but its still better to max E for its range. You sneak up on someone with your Q of course, get off as many autos as you can until either they're out of range or you KNOW the E will kill them, then E. The E's range is much longer than your autos so if you max it first it'll get you alot more kills on people who would have gotten away, as well as with ult you're stacking the poisons on everyone its hitting so it provides AOE damage with that and W.

Numbers are different than actual gameplay. In a bot lane skirmish, its not just an ADC and support standing still letting you get ALL your autos off, most likely they will dash away to save themselves (most ads have some kind of blink) So getting an enemy AD to 200 hp then dealing 60 damage with your E because you decided to max Q isn't going to get you the kill. Burst damage is a lot better especially in this meta, thats why you see so many Ardent Censors, Statik Shiv and RFC combos, etc
