To the people who think voice chat is a bad idea:

I can count on one hand how many times I've had a bad time with some asshole in voice chat in any game I've played across over a decade of playing online games. All the horror stories of whiny annoying children in Call of Duty are a very small minority, and even when you do run into them it's nobody you're likely to run into again.

To address another point, you can't point to the chat where people are jerks sometimes and say that that's what all of voice chat will be. Voice chat is an entirely different environment than text chat and people do not act the same in voice as they might in text. Not to mention saying that everyone will act exactly like a minority in the community is an absurd assumption in itself.

Nothing can be lost by adding voice chat, but so much more communication can be gained. Don't let some horror stories of one or two people that some guy you never met ran into online in entirely different games cloud your judgement.

I have played the game forever and see no reason to add it. I get it.. it makes it more "competitive" but matches are already a shit show anyways. So now its just loss of communication for those who don't want to use it. I get it... it can work just feel like its not that hard to communicate in game with pinging and typing. But of course people can't do that responsibly.

Honestly... with the amount of bitching people do already even if just to vent their frustration it gets really damn annoying.

I guess use it if you want. Just going to suck for a veteran of this game like me who is used to not having it and then being criticized for not using it in game when it becomes popular.

People bring up Overwatch or other games where they have it and honestly I hate it in Overwtach. If I knew how to mute people easier I would but I hardly played the game (well don't at all anymore). Like I get it it's easier to communicate but I just like to play to chill out. If I really want to be "team competitive" then I will organize a team and play with them. I play with friends a lot and am used to using comms in those situations. But when playing solo I don't like being expected to talk to randoms especially in League. I hope its like Player Unknown Battle Ground where you can just keep chat muted. I forgot you can even hear other people in that game. I probably miss out on a bit but at the same time I don't really care to hear people saying random shit. I guess it was funny at first when I started playing H1Z1 but then it got old pretty quick. Happy they changed it in that game as well.

I don't see a problem with it... though I also am assuming they will give the option to opt in or opt out, letting you mute certain players if you need to or listen without talking etc

Its much harder to be mean in person, when you realize that you are talking to a living person and not some damn computer.

Rarely ever had issues with voice chat

The biggest thing I remember is games like COD and Playgrounds but it like a small issue. Mute works the same way

My recent experience with voice chat is either get flamed for not joining voice chat or get flamed in voice chat. I shouldn't be harassed if I don't want to join, but players like to pin things on the odd one out. I think voice chat has potential but can be easily abused.

Well said but I think it's important that players' concerns are noted.
