WARNING: LONG THREAD HATE INCOMMING PLEASE PROCEED CAUTIOUSLY

Often times I browse the lol boards out of sheer boredom, because I for myself am perfectly fine with how the game is in its current state. In result, i rarely make posts, but tonight is an exception because i literally got so infuriated over what is getting posted on here that i had to make this post to vent off some steam. Here are my thoughts on multiples topics that are 'discussed' on these forums. If you ask me the game has never been more balanced than it is now, it just does not feel like it to some.

I. Balance is bad // Balance team is bad The way people hate on the balance team is in my opinion ridiculous, claiming that the balance is getting worse. What people don't understand is that it is incredibly hard to balance Lol, not only because there is an increasingly number of champions and items, but also because we are getting better at playing the game . Back in season 1 nobody would have cared if Champion X would get 100 dmg more on his ult, the balance was all over the place and there was so much room for innovation, but today, this would probably result in the champion being permabanned, because the pros are getting super proficient at abusing even the slightest advantages, and even the worst players achieve a level of play where balance changes are immediatly recognizable. This is also why riot is extremly cautios with its balance since it is extremly easy to completly throw the game out of the window, but it does not mean that is impossible for riot to make mistakes, which makes constructive criticism even more important.

II. 'omfg rito does not care' Of course they care, we are their customers**, we make the money** . This statement in itself is a complete joke and I always get the image of a pubescent teenager who got angry because his proposed riven rework thread got no red response. Matter of fact is, millions of people play this game and thus, millions of different opinions exist. Therefore, even the attempt to satisfy these opinions is utterly impossible. As a result, you will always have a couple people complaining on matter X. In the case of League, the 'couple of people' may be several thousands in number, but on the other hand you have millions of others who do are fine with it. It is the phenomenon of the 'silent majority' which makes it look like riot does not listen to certain complaints, because in reality, they are listening to a way bigger group of people. Also, the tone in which people bash on a company who provides their product 100% free in todays industry is simply atrocious and the reason** why we can't have nice things **. Many have said this before and I have to repeat it: why should riot improve their communication (which is above the industry standards anyway) when all they get is pure hate and insults. You won't find many in todays gaming world that are trying more to make the game better for their playerbase, and I sincerely wish all of the complainerse a hellish nightmare in which they have to pay 99 cents for every round of ranked and 10 dollar for the auto attack dlc. If you want to complain, atleast do it in a well written and most importantly POLITE sentence. I don't forbid you to be angry just pay some respect to the company who is responisble for one if not the most influental game of the past decade. Does Lol have problems? Definitly yes. Does that give us the right to call people incompetent who achieved more in their lives than 99% of people on these boards? Definitly no.

III. E sports // Trolling?? Many do not understand that league is not a game anymore, league is a sport. Logically, Riot treats their product like a sport, e.g catering towards the competitve scene, which is totally understandable since the majority of the playbase recognizes league as a sport. Keeping that in mind makes many of Riots choices much more relatable, and explains certain player behavior. We are playing this game because it is fun but ALSO competetive. I like to compare league to football:

• Playing with a 5 man premade is like going to the local court and having some fun, no limits

• Playing **normal **games is like going to the court alone and see whose there, and try to play a good game of football

• Playing off meta in normals is like saying: 'Guys, you won't think this will work but im going to play only using my head, it is a completly viable way to play football, since I scored a goal like that yesterday'. Depending on the people there some will laugh and some will kick your **** out of the field.

• Playing** off meta** in ranked is mostly the same as above but its not the local court but a football tournament and thus you'll be kicked out immediatly.

I intentionally picked the words 'Playing off meta' instead of trolling since the line is very blurry. There are people who troll with meta champions and people who play very serious off meta. BUT playing off meta often times means playing something that is simply sub optimal or not approved by the playerbase resulting in decreased win probabilty for your team from the get go, even if its just very minor. Disclaimer: I do not support people reporting someone just because he did not play matter when he tried his best, but likewise people shouldn't be surprised if their niche pick XYZ is not appreciated by the rest of the team members especially in ranked.

The football comparison also explains why there is only temporal gamemodes and no ranked que for dominion. On a side note: wanting a ranked dominion mode should be a punisheable offense (jk... maybe)

While if it would certainly be very fun to see how a match of football would play out if the field was not grass but lava and the players were riding giant sharks, it would ultimately hurt the sport because it would throw the competetive nature out of the window by replacing footwork and team play with shark riding skills who are not in any way related to the profile of the sport. Same applies to league: permanent game mode would split the playerbase on to many different modes and invalidate characteristic core mechanics, making the end product incohesive as a result. BUT good guy rito still gives us these gamesmode, although only temporally, so we can still have the fun the shark-riding football players will never get. ADDING to that they throw so much work out of the window since they just can't leave them up forever but they STILL do it. Look at the next feature game mode it is even more amazing than lavasharkball, and people STILL got the nerve to hate on riot. ugh. Even I want to quit my job and I don't even work at riot. Sucks to be them.

I sincerely applaud every Rioter, especially the ones that step infront of the company on these boards or other social media, because I can't even start to comprehend the amount of psychological stress they have to endure, when you are producing awesome content, but nobody got anything nice to say about it. That's why I say now: Well done. Honestly.

Hopefully atleast one person will read this Upvote upvote bla bla bla I don't care I just feel better writing this

ALSO: I'm not native in english so please don't bash me on mistakes :(

TLDR Riot has its faults, but still rocks TLDR I don't wanna live on this planet anymore
