Daily reminder than Randuin's omen can still reduce "crit" spell damage.

This isn't a meaningful buff to the item. This is just a random damage reduction 90% of the playerbase doesn't even know about.

Also, Infinity Edge doesn't make spell crits hit harder. I actually checked for myself lol.

It used to, but viktor was oneshotting people with 2000 damage q's.

Wasn't that a bug fix to Viktor's Q rather than to IE? IIRC, IE didn't affect spells before that change either.

That's an auto attack.

The magic damage was critting when it wasn't supposed to. It's still a spell.

With the exception of Gnar all of these champs hover around the 20% build rate, Gnar is at 40%. There's plenty more champs who are between 10 and 20% too. That's not "almost no-one" that's probably around a Randuin's every 2-4 games, depending on the number of tanky champs in those games.

Anyway regardless of how often Rand's is bought this is a legitimate issue that needs to be looked at. I'm just for consistency personally, I'm fine if Rand's works in this way but if it does all crit damage should also work.

Edit: found the list of all items, Rand's sits at 5% build rate, which means that with 10 champs per game there's a 1/2 chance it's built in any given game, which is higher than I was estimating. http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/items

That's 6 champions out of 120+ and they only have a 20% build rate....

That's puts it at like .01% build rate per game.....

Yea no one builds it.

Assuming absolute equality in champ picks (which isn't true at all) and no other champs ever buying Rand's it's 0.1%, since there's 10 champs in a game.

However that's not actually how stats like this work. Remember when I said Gnar builds it 40% of games? Due to Gnar's fairly high pick rate you can expect to see a Gnar who's building Rand's in 0.2% of games, which is just looking at a singular champion across all games, even the ones he's not picked in. It's also worth noting Lee Sin has a 15% build rate on Rand's, which with his 40% pick rate means you can expect to see a Lee building Rands in 0.5% of all games. You can then add on all the little 2-5% pickrate champs and all the 10-20% build rates and watch the %build rate balloon.

Also the reason why I said 2-4 games is because most teams aim to have at least one tank, assuming an average 15% build rate amongst tanks and 1.5 tanks per team you come up with an average of just over 3 games for a Rand's.

Also an ellipse is 3 fullstops, 4 means nothing.

My eclipses can be as long as I want.

Due to this being the internet and not English class. I routinely use 30+ dots
