Rammus vs other tanks?

So I really like playing as Rammus. He's really tanky and his R skill is pretty neat. I know his early game sucks but that's why I never use him by himself (I refuse to jungle....). I've got somewhat of a wolverine build goin on him with lots of health regen and health but I was wondering if there's any other summoner that's even more tanky? By tanky I mean someone with extreme amounts of defense and health. I heard Nautilus is pretty good but when I tried to 1v1 a friend he said Rammus would kick his ass if he used Nautilus.

If you want a regen monster, Dr. Mundo and Volibear should seriously be considered.

Btw the normal build I use on rammus is: item 3742 item 3047 item 3748 item 3065 item 3083 item 3075 Normally in that order.

Build item 3075 on Rammus. I had a Tryndamere kill himself after my w and e wore off. I couldn't tell you would win between a full build Rammus and Nautilus

I mean how long is the game? Sion will eventually just win through sheer amount of health, I usually top 5k with having 200+ armor and 200 mr.

Rammus vs Alistar is just hilarious. It's like a slap-fight.

Rammus isn't "strong", he's actually woefully underpowered... but the fact that ADCs and AD in general are so massively overpowered and thus, overplayed, that it strongly works to Rammus' advantage, making him viable due to the poor picks being used.

I have seen more all AD teams this past week than in the past two months before put together.

Rammus is actually realy strong right now (in the jungle). If you are looking for a top lane tank, Mundo, Volibear, Malphite and Shen are all really strong this patch.
