Support Matchmaking

I used to main ADC/Mid but I have recently gone into Support and have very much enjoyed it so far. When I would go into a game in the beginning, I would receive pretty good teams, fit for my level of play because of my ADC/Mid past(Which is great!). BUT! Ever since I have started supporting, my teams have been getting worse and worse. I know it is because my scores are always "low" because I am a support and I don't take kills, but when I do games like "2-3-24" I feel like league doesn't even count that as a good game. I also believe it might have something to do with the fact that Morg(My Support Main) is a Mage and not a Support and that's why, but I play her support and I feel like my games should be treated as such. (I know this is going to sound cocky) I am tired of being the best player on my team, AND being the support. It leaves me no room to do much damage since I have to buy items like Gold Income, Sightstone, ETC. Half the time I play now, I get at least one person who says "First time jg" or whatever lane it is. Why should supports be punished for doing well when they don't even get credit in game for setting up plays?
