A radical solution for autofill...

Just learn to play support. And all the roles. Hell, I even went and learned jungle, and I cannot tell you how much I abhor jungling. But I learned it. And in doing so I learned more than how to play a new role, I gained insight to how that role actually interacts with everyone. So now I understand when my jungler can't gank. I understand why they do certain things now. Learning to play every role is important in LoL. Even if its just one champ in that role, its important to diversify your play in order to become more knowledgeable about the game overall. So instead of going, "autofill sucks", how about you try to learn the roles you have trouble with instead of sticking to the ones you feel comfortable with? I promise you'll become a better player because of it. Hell, Annie Bot can only play one champion but he can play that champ in any role. What's your excuse?
