I highly disagree with the Pantheon nerfs on PBE

disregard the fact that i'm a Pantheon main. disregard the fact that most complaints you'll probably bring up about him atm are likely perfectly valid I disagree with them anyway. because reasons.

Although... It could be worse, I suppose. Remember that one time they tried to nerf his ult into the range of an ant's fart? Thank Christ that didn't end up sticking.

(Seriously though, it's always sad to see your favourite champion get hit with the nerfbat, justified or not)

yea, nerfing heartseeker is just really the wrong thing to do - it´s just like with swain, they leave the thing that makes him oppressive untouched (q-spam to win lane/e for swain) and nerf the spell that actually has decent counterplay.

Yeah, his Q spam really is the most annoying thing to deal with on the receiving end.

My one guess is that they wanted to define his early game strength with his late game weakness? even though it's already quite clear?... I have no idea, nerfing his late game when he already doesn't have that great a late game seems weird to me.

Granted, I haven't played a whole lot of LoL recently, so idk what the big beef people are suddenly having with him is... but you'd think they'd rather hit the more oppressive parts of his early game, since the snowballing there is what turns his E's scaling into hardcore damage

The ult changes are also really strange to me. It seems to come out of the blue. Canceling your ult forcing it to a 30 sec cool down seems kinda ludicrous.

I'm of the opposite opinion.

Pantheon has one of the most impactful ultimates in the game. Why is he allowed to cancel it at all? Thematically, he shouldn't shy down from a challenge that he chose to enter already! If he can cancel it, why isn't he punished with the full cooldown?

The best part about the nerf is that a good pantheon wouldn't be hurt by it, because he wouldn't be making bad ultimate decisions and needing to cancel them.

Agreed, as a Volibear and Darius main I hate seeing potential nerfs. I used to love Pantheon and these nerfs are seemingly in the wrong. If they wanted to reduce his power it should have been something with his Q. I'll be surprised if this passes PBE as it stands.

The reason they are targeting the bases on the E is because of E-max thernderlerd pantheon.

Panth snowballs hard against the wall in this current meta, so he needs an small nerf actually.

The range nerf on his ult would have been so bad that you could cover that distance faster on foot with just tier-1 boots.

The nerfs to his E make no fucking sense... If Pantheon falls behind he does pretty dam bad and with these nerfs he is always going to be doing less damage. Also lets take into fact that Pantheon only has 1 CC/Gap Closer that can easily be canceled or avoided. Using his E is a RISK because you have to channel it in place, meaning you're not keeping up with the person running away from you. As such, E can be really unreliable at times and I don't know why they nerfed it... not to mention E as waveclear is pretty bad unless you go full out damage.
