How To Win Against Malzahar

as a malzahar main it trips me TF out when people just ignore my voidlings early

Yea I never got that they are super easy to kill and can deal some real dmg people who ignore them make me scratch my head.[zombie-brand-facepalm]

This list is accurate, but it is very incomplete.

Midlane vs Malzahar, Play Ahri Xerath or Ziggs.

Keep him at range, Play your sustain well and constantly poke so he cannot put up his shield, also, lots of AoE to kill his voidlings

There is so much more to Counter malzahar than simply spellshields and tanking his E.

Ahri loses in the end. Mid to late she has to get within malz ult range for team fights and malz can ult her then. Also if malz takes minion dematerializer he only really needs his E to farm wave and can use voidlings to block charms. Xerath doesn't win or lose against malz malz can easily play it far by farming with E Q alone Late game if xerath makes even one positioning mistake he'll die. Ziggs also is in the same boat as Xerath Malz can easily play it far and if he messes up on positioning once he loses. Xerath and Ziggs counter malz in the sense that its fairly likely you'll go evenly with him. However for the sake of time I picked out the best counters that make it so you're more likely to win lane against him than you are to just go even. Until a player is High Elo they won't be able to stomp malz with picks that rely heavily on positioning like xerath and ziggs. Players who lose against malz typically aren't high elo so I fixated the picks around that as well. I wanted to pick champions anyone can play and anyone can learn to play well pretty quickly. Positioning is one of the hardest mechanics in league to learn and if they already knew that (which is something you need to know to play Xera and Zig) they probably wouldn't be losing to malz too much.
