Aatrox Buffs are Beautiful but...

As an Aatrox one trick for some time now, I have felt what it is like to play a weaker champ in game. I'm talking about overall power. For about 6 patches, Aatrox was not in a very good power state, quite weak. But after these buffs, I have to admit, Aatrox feels spectacular to play. With that Blood Moon skin, reset is the most satisfying thing to exist and it finally feels like every single part of his kit finally has a purpose.

However, as much as I love these buffs, I think that Riot needs to tune back his defensive stats, looking at the armor gained from the hotfix, as it feels like he can take too much damage early without being punished. I wouldn't mind his health per level being reduced by a bit as well but he needs to be taken back a bit without being deleted from the game, as seen in patch 9.3. Riot, please don't ruin my favorite champ again, especially when he feels this good to play.

I'm with you on this one. For once, I'm actually enjoying Bbtrox in his entirety. I love his new playstyle. I love being able to dictate fights, knowing when the opponent's abilities are down and knowing I'm fully capable of turning the heat on when they foolishly expose their weaknesses. Despite this, I'm fairly certain he's going to need more balance changes down the line. If the majority of people are doing well with him, then the intended effect of making him more skillful doesn't seem to be working out right? The biggest issue is that while the mini-rework changed a lot about his kit, the fundamental issue will always be rooted in his main damage ability, his Q. It just does too many things by itself. If it's good then he's good but if it sucks, he sucks. They can prob remove his armor scalings and he might be a little bit easier to play against in the early game, but I doubt too much will change. If they change his health value back he'll be thrown back to before the hotfix where although he had nice healing, he just got repeated abused and shit on. If they change his ult c/d again... I just don't even know how they could justify it.

What to do.

Yeah its rough, I've had to start picking Fiora when I see the enemy top is an Aatrox because he's just so annoying to play against now without a counterpick.

I think they should remove his passive healing or at least half it. Or make it so it actually requires him to require a brain to proc. Nothing more infuriating than a champ with an already ridiculous amount of healing with a Fleet Footwork on steroids passive that makes you feel like shit playing vs him.

I think he's finally balanced tbh. He's just a Riven with healing that requires a better understanding of fundamentals. Champ's fine.

Maybe change his ult passive to nullify grevious wounds instead of 50% increased healing? That way his sustain is less broken but he still has a window in which he's significantly harder to kill.
