Can we talk about matchmaking system?

I'm not going too much in-depth, i'd just like to hear other people opinions on the currently matchmaking system.

Do you feel like it's fine? it deserves to be looked at? completely revamp? or something completely different? just express your opinion here =P

Personally i feel like it deserves to be looked at. I've been going with and against so many plat/diamond and sometimes even challenger players on normal games up to the point of ruining my fun because i'm sure someone in my team is going to rage. The difference between someone who is unranked and someone who is plat or above is insane ( i can say from personal experience, especially when i go against more than two plat+ players.. ) And it's not great when you loses so many matches up to point of having almost 200 loses more than wins. I feel like a sitting duck, i will never be able to learn properly the champion i'm playing with if every match someone gets stomped, be it in my team or the enemy team. I really think people should be matched with and against someone close to their mmr/elo and not with and against someone who is very above their league, because i'm sure they wont have fun (save for some cases...).

So, i'd like to hear you guys thoughts about this fair/unfair system
