No Tank Meta please

I dont want to see galio mid, Sion top, maokai jungle, and alistar support, please dont buff tanks and make them tanky assasins

galio mid is use as a counter pick

sion is built ad/leathality now.

alistar is always a pick in bot lane due to utility + tankyness + engage/disengage

maokai jungle is so bad its laughable

I think OP is looking at patch 8.16 changes. Not current meta. And Galio is more than just a counter if you know how to use him.

yet buffing maokai's MS by 5 and making his E do more damage to monsters isnt going to fix tanks in jungle. or tanks in general. it has to do with the shity resolve tree not giving any meaningful stats til after laning phase /game is decided

I don’t know what to believe because it feels subjective. One high Elo streamer always complains about tanks and that bruisers aren’t viable. Then others say tanks arent viable. Then I see another person use just tank Shen. So I’m thinking if you get good with a class and champ they are good but if the masses are just meta hopping they will see and feel the difference in the different classes.

i get what you are saying however you can clearly go look at stats for plat + for the roles tanks are played in, top, jungle, support. and see they arent any where close to other champs. they arent banned ever anymore. their pick % is low. some have ok win rates but with low pick % and literally no ban %

Galio is built burst mage now, so he is getting hit with eletrocute changes too. He is pretty meh as a tank all together. A few high elo (not many) go aftershock but still build full damage. Pro scene I think also does aftershock... I dont remember if its ROA into tank or just more AP. Dont remember.

I’ve had way more success with aftershock because it still scales with ap. And I go roa into ap. Maybe a few tank items if I know I’m going to be carried and just need to set up plays. Hes very useful because his map presence from Mid lane. I think he naturally gets tanky with the recommended runes on op.gg so his damage items are well worth the defense trade off.
