So what happens to your rank
So at end season do you loose your current rank and have to play 10 ranked games to get graded again orrrrrr do you keep your rank until next season so you can start climbing from there (im new)

During the preseason you won't lose your rank yet (you just keep playing as usual). When the new season starts then you have to do placements and will be assigned a rank.
While you can't change your 2016 rewards after the season ends, your Ranked play during the preseason will still affect your MMR and therefore your 2017 placements.

THANK YOU i was so confused xD
Ranked season doesn't reset until a little bit later, but they will reset, making play another 10 placement matches and after tomorrow, your rank is locked in for rewards (you can still climb higher to try to get a better ranking next year). You'll almost always get a lower rank than you ended with, and you'll always have a different starting MMR (Matchmaking Rating, it's the behind-the-scenes thing that League uses to determine who you'll be matched up with/against). Your starting MMR for your first season is 1200 (about Silver 5). Your MMR for future seasons is 1200 + your last season's final MMR / 2. You can check your MMR on sites like op.gg. Looking you up, you're at 1,160 MMR, with it saying that you have had a lot of duo games, so your MMR may be inaccurate. I would suggest for now not playing any more ranked until you're locked in for your rewards, which will come with the patch, and for now just playing normals to practice until that comes. After tomorrow's patch, dive into ranked and try to get some more MMR especially. MMR does take into account your ending score, wards, things like that, not just whether you won/lost (I think). Low MMR means that you'll be matched with worse players and you'll gain less LP for winning and lose more for losing, high MMR being just the opposite. Too low of MMR and you can demote out of your current rank (ie silver down to bronze), but to demote between divisions (ie silver 4 to silver 5), you just have to lose a game on 0 LP in that division. You still have the loss of a game at 0 LP as a requirement to drop ranks, but you also have to have MMR that is a full rank down from where you should be (for example, me being silver 5, I can't demote unless I hit bronze 5 MMR).
I know that's a big wall of text, but it's the best explanation of the ranked system I can give. It was so much simpler when it was the ELO system, where you gained/lost ELO depending on whether you won/lost and everyone reset to 1200 at the beginning of the season, but it was also much worse. There was nothing keeping you from demoting other than losing ELO, and if you lost even 1 of your then 5 placement matches, you lost so much ELO that you would never be able to carry your way back above average because your whole team was so bad (even compared to today's bronze 5, low ELO then was horrible). I've been playing since season 1, but I never particularly played a lot of ranked. Even this year, all I really cared to play was to get out of bronze after placements and that was it, and I only even got bronze because last season, I got silver 5 and never played ranked after placements because I didn't care enough. At the start of season 5, I was a much worse player than I am now.

Also, every player is cursed to always get an afk/troll/feeder on their teams during placements if they don't group queue.
