Ivern in low elo

Is Ivern in low elo like silver just not viable? I keep running into players ignoring pings, refusing to work together, or just have no map awareness. All my past ranked games felt like I couldn't do anything as Ivern because it's a support champion where they're dependent on the team carrying. I manage to get quite a lot of ganks and even steal the enemies' camps, but people never come and help with herald or dragon when I ping for it. Then the team starts feeding and playing dumb and then where the enemy team grabs all the objectives.

It feels so frustrating playing Ivern where I can't do anything damage wise. I seen so many throws where players just rush in and die where I'm left alone defending nexus turrets. Stuff like that.
