How to get teammates to stop banning your champ?

I hate it when this happens but I also feel so powerless to do anything against it. I don't have enough people on at the same time to make a 5 man so that option is out. Can people share their strategies for stopping your champ from being banned? (I've already tried hovering my champion so my teammates know that I want to play my champ)

Step 1: pick an unpopular champion Step 2: declare something offmeta that isn't what you want to pick. Step 3: watch the metabot waste his ban on something you weren't going to pick anyway.

Don't hover it. That's how I get to use Sona top 90% of the time.

"BUT if I don't hover it it gets banned anyways!" Sounds like a non problem compares to it being actively banned if they know you are going to pick it

BTW, is it Yuumi? It's Yuumi isn't it. Yuumi is a new character and this people will ban it for a while knowing that anyone using it isn't very good or efficient with her yet, because she's new.

Don't hover the champion you want to play. it might just incentivise people to ban it just to spike you. Alot of the time, the champions I play get banned because someone on my team is an asshole, and wants to try be funny.

The best thing you can do is to main an unpopular champion.

What I have been doing is waiting last second to ban, that way I can ban the champs of the one who banned mine. Eye for an eye.

Stop playing off meta.
