As a mage player, Karthus is always on my mind, but because of the new mage and assassin rework, Karthus is having a hard time during laning phase and not much of a team fighter. Everyone that play Karthus knows that the only thing that is keeping Karthus together is his passive and ult. Please help Karthus out like you did to Yorick!!! An idea could be something with a choir of souls.
Karthus got a considerably good rework about 2-3 years ago. He still plays well, and he has a pretty high skill cap.
He takes time to master, and you have to be good at reading opponents in order to use his Q effectively. Contrary to what you think, Karthus has immense team fight presence, whether it's from Requiem or whether he's running into the fray with Defile. He is the single best champion for causing an enemy team to splinter, and his death only makes them run even harder. This means your team is better equipped to take out the scattering enemies and get the upper hand.
The problem you're running into is that he probably doesn't fit your playstyle. You may like him thematically, but not liking how you play him is not grounds for needing a rework, especially when he's plenty effective as he is now. Just learn to time his Qs better and when to throw down in a fight, and you'll see how strong he is.
Mordekaiser needs a buff more than Karthus.
Still holds the number one and two damage spots out of all champions in all positions.
Still a positive winrate that he has maintained for years now.
Still has a kit that is powerful with clear strengths, weaknesses, play, and counterplay.
Still one of the only champions with iconic and meaningful power even when he is assassinated.
Definitely should not be reworked.
He has this theme, that death is weak early since the young do not die of natural causes and are protected. But as it goes late game. He WILL show em what he really is. That is what karthus is. He is basically the embodiment of death which you cant escape.
I see what you guys mean, but with the changes of the map and mid lane itself, he doesn't seem fun to play with anymore and not effective in anything. I love Karthus' theme and idea but i wish there's a way to make Karthus a champion that can be picked up whenever they feel like it.
