Why am I seeing this?

Has the world really become this stupid? Am I really seeing people playing Kalista top lane? Who would be that idiotic?

I mean, her whole kit literally revolves around two things and two things only:

Having more mobility than almost any other ADC.
BEING an ADC with a support to back her up.

If she doesn't go bot ADC, there is almost no point to her. She has practically no use for her item, and thus it completely alienates her Sentinel passive and her ultimate, making them completely useless (her ultimate actually becomes straight-up unusable). Unless you go duo top (and you should really only be doing that in bot matches, many times not even that), Kalista should be starting nowhere other than bot.

Well, unless you are Pantheon or Jax, she's probably gonna wreck you.

I've heard some theorycraft from various high-ranked players that going top with her (and using your bond on the jungler) could be pretty amazing. Her kit just shits on so many top laners it's not even funny, even without the passive from Sentinel.

Actually she does perfectly fine top lane. Unless you have a gap closer or some seriously reliable form of CC she is impossible to fight due to her passive. Immune to slows basically, can dodge all skill shots, best kiting ability in the game, high damage, infinite stacks on Rend, a slow, doesnt need wards, long range poke if done right is impossible to dodge (killing a minion with stacks of rend with her Q will transfer them to anything behind the minion), and ranged just generally beats melee anyways...

She binds to the jungler btw and the ganks post-6 are incredibly overpowered depending on the teamwork and jungler. So far from what ive seen Jax, Fiora, Maokai, Rumble (idk why...), Pantheon, and Irelia tend to do decently well against her.
